The world of The Swordmaster's Youngest Son is defined by a ruthless geopolitical balance between martial supremacy, absolute magic, and ancient divine powers. At the pinnacle of the continent sit two hyper-powers: the Runcandel Clan, a family of elite swordsmen who rule through martial force, and the Zipple Family, a dominant empire of mages seeking absolute control over world magic and ancient relics. Secondary factions, such as the mysterious Kinzello, the assassin guild of the Nameless, the holy state of Vankella, and independent sanctuaries like Tikan and the Ice Palace, navigate the turbulent power struggles between these titans. The power system revolves around three core disciplines: Underneath this surface struggle lies an intricate network of ancient legacies, lost martial realms like La Prarosa (home to the immortal Battle God and Battle Kings), and divine spirits capable of forging legendary artifacts. Swordsmanship & Aura: Ranked on a 1-to-9 Star scale, culminating in the transcendent Genesis-level tier achieved only by legendary figures like Patriarch Chiron Runcandel. Aura reinforces the body, accelerates movement, and releases destructive slashes. Magic: Cultivated through circle-based mana manipulation. Higher-tier magic allows wide-scale elemental destruction, ancient alchemy, and illegal human golem experiments secretly conducted by corrupt organizations like the Dark Magic Association. Shadow Energy & Divine Contracts: Granted through direct pacts with gods. Solderet, the Shadow God, grants his contractor control over shadow energy - a versatile, corruptive, and elusive power capable of hiding presence, shaping dark blades, and summoning ancient dragon guardians like Murakan. Divine contractors can also form pacts with elemental guardians, such as the blue phoenix Tess or the divine familiar Shuri.
The disgraced youngest son of the Runcandel clan who was burdened by an illusion curse in his past life. After dying and regressing to his infancy through a contract with Solderet, Jin retains his past memories and strategic brilliance. Ruthless to enemies and fiercely protective of his allies, he aims to overthrow the corrupt succession of his family and destroy the Zipple clan's tyranny. Powers: Master swordsman (advancing past 6-star status), high-tier mage (7-star magic), Shadow Energy manipulation via Solderet's contract, Shadow Sword techniques learned in La Prarosa, poison immunity via the Elixir of Ten Thousand Poisons, user of the Phoenix Thunder Sword Sigmund and the divine blade Bradamante.
Chapter 1A legendary Black Dragon who served Solderet a thousand years ago. After a millennium of slumber left him drastically weakened, he was reawakened by Jin. Despite his theatrical, leisure-loving personality and ego, Murakan possesses vast ancient wisdom and serves as Jin's most loyal guardian and magical advisor. Powers: Shadow Dragon Breath, shapeshifting into human form, ancient magic lore, shadow realm traversal (at full power).
Chapter 3The supreme Patriarch of the Runcandel clan and one of the world's few Genesis-level knights. Governed strictly by the absolute law of strength, Chiron demands perfection from his children. Though stoic and terrifying, he recognizes Jin's unique brilliance and grants him unprecedented autonomy to forge his own path. Powers: Genesis-level Swordsmanship, absolute aura domination, reality-cutting sword strikes.
Chapter 1The 1st Flagbearer of the Runcandel clan, known globally as the "White Whale." Luna is a 9-star knight who despises the family's bloody internal succession games. Powers: 9-Star Swordsmanship, overwhelming physical durability, devastating heavy sword techniques.
Chapter 8High-ranking flagbearer of Runcandel and the primary orchestrator of Jin's past-life curse through the dark sorcerer Keydart Hall. Polished, politically adept, and utterly cold-blooded, Joshua operates through shadow clones, political alliances, and underground networks to secure his path to Patriarch. Powers: High-tier Swordsmanship, shadow clone projection, political scheming, dark magic proxy operations.
Chapter 15The genius heir to the Zipple family. Eccentric, uninhibited, and highly intelligent, Veradin forms a genuine personal bond with Jin despite knowing that the existential rivalry between Zipple and Runcandel will force them into conflict. Powers: High-tier Magic, advanced Zipple family ancient spells, strategic genius.
Chapter 23The prodigy heir of the Hairan clan. Dedicated purely to the path of the sword, Dante meets Jin during the Cosmos Competition under disguised identities. Their fiercely contested duel builds an unshakable brotherhood of mutual respect. Powers: Elite Hairan Clan Swordsmanship, extreme physical conditioning, aura pressure sword techniques.
Chapter 65The eccentric Master of the Ice Palace, known as the "Master of the Hidden Palace." Flamboyant, dangerously powerful, and fiercely independent, she takes a liking to Jin's bold personality and repeatedly intervenes in world affairs to maintain balance. Powers: Peak Ice Magic, Myriad Ice Realm domain expansion, high-level spatial manipulation.
Chapter 42Jin's older sister and the top killer of the Nameless Assassin Guild. Unhinged, childish, yet lethal beyond measure, she subjects Jin to severe assassin trials in Samil before bonding with him as a protective sibling. Powers: Master assassination techniques, concealment, stealth strike, poison mastery.
Chapter 103A righteous Holy Knight of Vankella who uncovers horrific golem experiments in her kingdom. Working alongside Jin under his "Bahmerl" pseudonym, she survives church corruption and eventually ascends as the true Holy Queen of Vankella, establishing a key political-financial alliance with Jin. Powers: Holy Magic, divine aura blessing, Holy Queen sovereign authority.

Powers: Divine Smithing, weapon awakening, spirit resonance manipulation.
