The universe of Pick Me Up: Infinite Gacha is a grim, hyper-realistic system controlled by an overhead mobile interface known as Mobius. To the real-world players, it presents as a highly addictive, brutal fantasy gacha RPG. In reality, it is a meat-grinder dimension where "heroes" are forcefully abducted from countless worlds, assigned numeric Star Ranks, and thrown into the vertical trials of the Tower of Ascension. Death in this tower is permanent; fallen heroes are vaporized, and low-performing or redundant units are synthesized (sacrificed) to power up others.
The power system revolves around rigid RPG mechanics: Level, Class (Warrior, Mage, Rogue, Priest, etc.), Star Rank, and passive traits. However, heroes can push past system-imposed limits through raw willpower, extreme training, or awakening latent bloodlines, such as Han’s "Exceed" state or the coveted True Black Dragon Blood.
The setting is organized into Lobbies (such as the starter lobby Townia and the legendary high-level lobby Niflheimr). These zones act as pocket dimensions of respite managed by "Masters" - real-world players whose strategic choices dictate the life or death of their rosters. As heroes climb, they face terrifying boss monsters, complex floor gimmicks, and inter-lobby PvP wars. Behind the scenes, the cruel Goddess Tel and administrative factions like the Tel Icar Church exploit these loops for cosmic entertainment, hiding a dark secret: the players' worlds and the simulated towers are deeply interconnected, trapped in a cycle of suffering.
Formerly Han Seojin, the legendary, fifth-ranked player in the world known as "Loki." After being mysteriously pulled into the game, he takes over the body of a low-rank, 1-star discard unit named Islat Han. Pragmatic, ruthlessly logical, and emotionally guarded, Han utilizes his supreme meta-knowledge of Mobius to keep himself and his squad alive. He acts as the shadow director of his lobby, orchestrating training regimens, managing resource allocation, and maintaining a strict, performance-based environment. His overarching goal is to climb to the peak of the Tower of Ascension, destroy the system, and find a way back home. Powers: A master swordsman who progresses from a 1-star discard to a 4-star powerhouse. His signature weapon is Bifrost, a legendary evolving longsword. He possesses unique abilities, including the high-risk Exceed state (which temporarily pushes his physical capabilities far past his natural limits) and the Destructive Sword Spirit. After surviving higher floors, he absorbs the S-rank True Black Dragon Blood, unlocking draconic passive abilities and massive physical regeneration.
Chapter 1A young archer who is summoned into the early stages of Townia. Initially terrified and fragile, Jenna's spirit is forged in fire under Han's relentless and demanding training regimens. She possesses an iron resolve and an intense drive to prove her worth to Han, dreading the thought of being left behind or synthesized. Over time, she develops into the reliable, eagle-eyed vanguard of Party 1, bridging the emotional gap between Han's cold pragmatism and the rest of the roster. Powers: Initially a weak 1-star Archer, she promotes to a 2-star Rogue and continues to climb. She is an expert in long-range precision archery, agility-based evasion, and stealth. Her combat prowess is significantly elevated after surviving the brutal advanced training facility of Niflheim.
Chapter 2A shield-bearing warrior who initially suffers from a lack of confidence and deep-seated fear. After failing to meet expectations, he is demoted from Party 1. Rather than breaking, this demotion fuels a quiet, burning determination within him. Under Han's guidance, Aaron undergoes unimaginable training loops, eventually discovering that his true purpose is to protect his allies and find a way to save his sister. He matures into the ultimate shield of Townia - unyielding, selfless, and physically massive. Powers: A Shield Warrior who undergoes 57 years of subjective, time-dilated training in another dimension, transforming into a titanic defensive powerhouse. He wields massive tower shields and specializes in aggro management, crowd control, and kinetic redirection. During the World Raid Fiesta, he unlocks his ultimate latent potential, matching Han in raw endurance and martial output.
Chapter 5An aristocratic and arrogant 3-star fire mage who initially looks down on others due to her noble lineage. Her haughtiness is quickly shattered by the brutal realities of the Tower, where rank means nothing without combat efficacy. Despite her low stamina and poor physical defense, she possesses a pride that refuses to let her slack. She trains diligently to master high-output elemental magic, eventually earning her spot as the primary magical artillery of Party 1. Powers: A 3-star Fire Mage specializing in wide-area destruction, high-tier fire spells, and telekinetic mana manipulation. Her glass-cannon nature requires constant protection from her vanguard allies.
Chapter 14A battle-hungry, sadistic, and volatile second-generation mutant hero. Velkist lives for the thrill of life-or-death struggles, displaying little regard for his own safety or the safety of others. He forces his way into Party 1 by defeating Aaron in a duel, proving his chaotic value to Han. Despite his unhinged personality, he respects strength above all else and views Han as the ultimate mountain to climb. Powers: A ferocious front-line brawler with a unique passive trait that converts negative status abnormalities (poison, bleeding, curses) into raw physical strength and speed. The more damaged and debuffed he is, the more lethal he becomes.
Chapter 33A highly analytical, calm, and pragmatic second-generation hero. Nerissa does not fight out of passion or bloodlust; she fights with cold, calculated efficiency. Recognizing Han's systems-based approach, she tailors her skills to complement the team's needs, earning her place in the core party through sheer utility and tactical execution. Powers: A versatile scout and assassin skilled in stealth, venom application, trap-making, and multi-weapon mastery (primarily daggers and throwables).
Chapter 35A powerful, high-tier 6-star hero residing within the advanced lobby of Niflheimr. She retains absolute, unwavering loyalty to Han Seojin from his past life as the master player "Loki." Knowing the secrets of the system, she acts as Han's guide, counselor, and helper behind the scenes when he accesses the advanced training rifts. Powers: A 6-star support/mage unit possessing profound knowledge of the tower's underlying code, class potentials, and advanced skills. She can manipulate dimensional spaces to assist Han’s training.
Chapter 78The administrative entity and "Goddess" overseeing the progression of several lobbies, including Townia. Beneath her pristine, divine facade lies a sadistic, cold, and manipulative director who views the heroes as disposable puppets for her entertainment. She regularly manipulates time loops and orchestrates the systematic downfall of lobbies that grow too close to uncovering the truth of Mobius. Powers: Divine authority over lobby time-streams, game system manipulation, administrative oversight, and the ability to wipe memory or reset progression parameters.
Chapter 140A powerful half-beast warrior who was consumed by grief and loss before Han integrated her into Townia's core roster. Wild, fiercely loyal to those who earn her respect, and possessing an untamed combat instinct, she becomes an indispensable vanguard asset. Powers: Beast-kin transformation, high physical resilience, sensory enhancement, and claw-based close-quarters combat that allows her to shred heavy armor.
Chapter 110An ancient, highly powerful dragon entity who is inadvertently sealed inside the body of a common pigeon by Han during a high-stakes resource extraction. Forced into this comical form, he serves as an invaluable, albeit begrudging, guide to Han, possessing deep knowledge of the tower's structural collapse. Powers: Draconic lore knowledge, detection of dimensional anomalies, and minor dragon-breath attacks (severely limited by his avian container).
Chapter 204A highly respected 5-star candidate and the Commander-in-Chief of the dispatched imperial army from House Asynia. She is noble, tactical, and fiercely committed to the defense of her territory, cooperating with Townia's forces during the chaotic Floor 42 campaigns. Powers: High-tier sword mastery, military leadership buffs, and defensive aura manipulation suited for leading large-scale army raids.
Chapter 205The sadistic and power-hungry head of the noble Schuttenberg household. He manipulates the parameters of the 42nd-floor mission to eliminate rival factions, actively sabotaging the expedition to secure his own dominion. Powers: Dark magic, political manipulation, and high-level mercenary coordination.
Chapter 208Known as the "Blind Saintess" of the fanatical Tel Icar Church. Beneath her serene, holy demeanor lies a brainwashed fanatic devoted to Goddess Tel's administration, hunting down any "irregular" elements that threaten the system's order. Powers: Formidable mind-control gaze, rapid cell regeneration, and high-tier holy magic capable of blinding or purifying opponents.
Chapter 209Ch. 1 - 100
Han Seojin awakens in the weak body of Islat Han inside the brutal tutorial floor of Mobius. He must quickly adapt to the sensory reality of the game and train his initial companions, Jenna and the early recruits, to survive a meat-grinder environment where the player "Master" makes terrible tactical decisions. The Tutorial Horde: Han uses base tactics to clear the initial wave of monsters. Floor 5 Goblin Survival Mission: A massive, chaotic survival fight against endless waves of goblins where Han and Jenna are pushed to their absolute limits.
Ch. 104 - 203
Townia tackles the brutal underwater floors. The campaign culminates in a devastating temple raid on Floor 35 against the ancient Water Dragon, forcing the team to fight underwater under suffocating debuffs. The Water Temple Raid (Floor 35): A horrific, multi-stage battle against the Water Dragon and its deep-sea zealots.
Ch. 204 - 215
Armed with the S-rank True Black Dragon seal, Han leads Townia's vanguard into the exploration of the 42nd floor. They form a joint expedition with the imperial army led by Delphine von Asynia to suppress the emerging threat of the Chaos Egg. The Fortress Siege of Floor 42: A joint military campaign against highly defensive gargoyles and chaos beasts.
